When you join NFA as a Senior Manager, Communications, you'll oversee a team of communicators responsible for collaborating cross departmentally to translate technical information into high-impact educational programming and communications across different media.

What you'll do:
As a Senior Manager, Communications, you'll report directly to NFA's Head of Communications and oversee a team of individual contributors responsible for delivering high-quality communications and educational programming to NFA's Member and investor audiences. Specifically, your responsibilities will include, among others:

- Developing and managing communication strategies that promote NFA's educational resources across digital channels, campaigns, and other initiatives.
- Overseeing the development and delivery of NFA's Member communications and educational programming including e-mailings, webinars, in-person programs and web content.
- Leading the development and execution of NFA's investor education and protection communications.
- Driving NFA's social media strategy as it relates to expanding awareness for investor protection resources and educational programs.
- Measuring the effectiveness of communication strategies to increase engagement.
- Demonstrating emotional intelligence, professionalism and adaptability when navigating complex situations and engaging with diverse stakeholders.
- Providing leadership, coaching and direction to Communications staff while balancing project priorities and workload.
- Managing relationships with internal and external stakeholders, vendors and consultants.
- Establishing strong relationships through active listening and proactive communication, as well as fostering collaboration with executive leadership and staff in other departments.
- Assisting with media interaction and reputation management.
What we're looking for:

- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent related work experience
- At least 8 years of professional experience
- Expert verbal, written, research, communication and presentation material skills
- Experience adapting communication style, tone, level of detail and emphasis across multiple diverse audiences
- Interpersonal skills, with a proven history of creating and sustaining strong relationships with multiple stakeholders
- Executive presence and a demonstrated ability to interact confidently with senior leaders and challenge constructively with discretion
- Ability to partner with subject-matter experts and digest and distill information quickly and effectively
- Excellent writing and editing skills with a demonstrated ability to handle complex issues and nuanced messaging
- Ability to exercise independent judgment and take initiative in an environment with shifting priorities
- Demonstrated organizational, external relations and analytical skills and experience
- Working familiarity with the derivatives industry, regulation or financial concepts strongly desired
- Basic to intermediate familiarity with general website concepts including CMS basics, web architecture, content management, search engine optimization or accessibility a plus
The salary range for this position is $146,200 to $213,500
