What you'll do:

 

As an Accounting Specialist, you'll contribute to NFA's important regulatory mission by:

 

  • Processing, verifying and recording daily cash receipts, write-offs and adjustments.
  • Creating invoices for Member firms and customers.
  • Coordinating refunds of dues/fees for Members, as needed.
  • Recording, coding and routing vendor invoices for payment.
  • Reconciling invoices to align with associated purchase orders.
  • Resolving inquiries related to Member firms, vendors, and NFA staff while maintaining strong relationships and providing excellent customer service.
  • Performing all tasks while complying with internal controls and policies.
  • Assisting with month-end close and additional accounting operations, as needed.

  • A minimum of two years experience with cash receipts, invoice processing and coding required
  • Bachelor's degree in business or accounting preferred
  • Baseline knowledge of accounting principles and systems
  • A willingness to work in the office three days a week
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to successfully navigate conversations with Member firms, vendors and staff
  • Capable of handling high volumes of activity timely and accurately
  • Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail

 

Salary range: $50,600 - $84,300
