What you'll do: 

As an Accounting Manager, you'll contribute to NFA's important regulatory mission by:

  • Ensuring timely and accurate payments by managing all accounts payable activities, including invoice coding, approvals, disbursement processes and vendor record maintenance.
  • Overseeing accounts receivable functions such as invoicing, collections, payment applications, adjustments and write offs.
  • Preparing internal and external reports to ensure accuracy and timely submissions.
  • Recommending solutions to resolve complex financial matters and escalating issues as needed.
  • Investigating discrepancies and resolving variances in financial data.
  • Supervising and developing accounting staff by providing clear goals and timely feedback.
  • Certifying compliance with internal controls, policies and organizational procedures.
  • Collaborating with internal stakeholders and vendors to support audits, budgets and accurate financial reporting.
  • Identifying and implementing process improvements to enhance operational performance within the department.

  • Two to five years of supervisory experience in accounting or finance
  • Bachelor's degree in business, accounting or related field
  • Experience working with ERP/Accounting systems
  • Strong background in accounting with a focus on accounts payable and receivable
  • Highly analytical and detail-oriented with expertise in navigating complex financial information and reconciling discrepancies
  • Strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively
  • Excellent leadership and people management skills
  • Ability to foster a collaborative and accountable team environment
  • Effective communication skills to engage stakeholders, vendors and staff
  • Willingness to work in the office a minimum of three days a week

 

Salary range: $103,400 - $176,000
